“Do everything for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Sept 2024

Dear St. Andrew Family of Faith,

As the summer fades and we welcome the crisp days of September, I’m reminded of all the beautiful ways that God weaves rhythms of change into our lives. The leaves have already started to take on their autumnal hues and make way for new growth, and it makes me wonder how else God is inviting us to embrace new beginnings.

While I’ll be on leave for September, October, and November—welcoming our own new life into the world!—there’s a sense of renewal that the church also gets to enjoy. Whether it’s the start of a new school year, the return to routines, or the anticipation of upcoming church events, it’s a time to refocus, recharge, and recommit ourselves to the paths God has laid before us.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we read, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” This verse serves as a powerful reminder that each season of our lives, whether one of joy or challenge, can and
will be transformed by God to God’s good purposes. As we step into this new season, God invites us to be mindful of the opportunities for growth, learning, and service placed before us.

New beginnings aren’t just about starting fresh; they are about building on the foundations of faith, love, and community that we have established together. This month, as we embark on new initiatives and continue with our ongoing ministries, I encourage each of you to consider how you can contribute to our shared mission to be a church where all are welcomed, fed, and nourished in the name of Jesus Christ.

Whether it’s through prayer, volunteering, or simply offering a kind word to a fellow congregant, your involvement is vital to the life of our church.

As we journey through September, may we do so with hearts full of
gratitude for the seasons past and with hope for the season to come.
We can embrace the changes ahead, knowing that God walks with us
every step of the way.

Peace,
Pr Jenna
